Lasso is an on and off-chain data aggregator. They bring you curated and personalized opportunities, based on assets you already own.
RESPONSIBILITIES
I was one of three product designers that worked on the responsive web app portion of this project. I was responsible for research, data analysis, UX auditing, and UX/UI design.

Challenge
Lasso approached my team to craft a curated and engaging experience that’s easy to use for crypto natives and novices alike to help them find all the opportunities that are associated with assets they own or would like to own.
Outcome
Designed a responsive web app that's intuitive to use for novice and experienced Web 3 users alike.
Features
Discovery
I helped improve the user experience by creating user flows and journey maps for different types of crypto users. Research revealed that 90% of users conduct outside research to verify the legitimacy of a collection, 80% of crypto-holders are active in multiple online communities and have trouble keeping up, 75% of crypto native and novice users don't connect their wallet to a new marketplace initially and 65% of users miss out on opportunities because they have to jump between marketplaces to find their saved content. These insights shaped our design approach to provide a more user-friendly experience.
Ideate
I explored various ways to improve the user experience for Lasso. my team and I created a dynamic Discover section with an infinite carousel of featured collections and associated opportunities on hover. Keeping user personas in mind, we made the user flow engaging and easy to use for all levels of crypto familiarity, such as using eye-catching tags, robust metadata, and off-chain data integration.
Iterate
My team and I conducted two rounds of user testing, each with 10 users, which provided valuable insights for our design process. The feedback informed the metadata, "connect wallet" flow, and user motivation for connecting wallet. I helped inform the UX design iterations, including auditing the multiple treatments for modular content blocks and ensuring that every aspect of the design was optimized following UX laws and heuristics. The design aimed for a user-friendly experience for the future of web 3.0 and future releases of Lasso.
Final product
We’re excited to announce our beta launch and $4.2M raised this round. It’s been a pleasure working with the team. I look forward to collaborating again in the near future.
