RESPONSIBILITIES
I was one of two product designers that worked on the product and web design portion of this project. I was responsible for research, data analysis, UX auditing, and UX/UI design.
COLLABORATION
Cross department collaboration including the brand and illustration teams, as well as the Brain.FM stakeholders.

Challenge
Brain.FM approached my team to craft a personalized experience for users to discover and enjoy music that helps them reach their desired meditative state; focus in 5 minutes. They needed help with user acquisition as well as user retention.
Outcome
Highlighting the science behind Brain.FM’s unique technology and creating a consistent and seamless UX/UI experience across all platforms.
Features

Discovery
I conducted a thorough product UX/UI audit, market research and user research that shed light on many opportunities that have direct impact on user satisfaction. I leveraged the findings to get buy-in from stakeholders, showing Brain.FM ways to add user value proposition.
Ideate
Based on user and research insights, I collaborated closely with Brain.FM's stakeholders, on staff scientists, and musical composers to present findings and get buy-in on our design approach to address user needs.
Together, we started off the design process by ideating ways to educate users on Brain.FM's unique science, facilitate easy personalization, and simplify the experience so they can ultimately achieve their desired focus state.
Iterate
My team and I conducted 2 rounds of user testing, with a total of 10 users. We used these insights to shape the features included in Brain.FM's free subscription model and make the personalization and subscription flows as intuitive as possible.
Final product

Everything is just really phenomenal, it’s been a pleasure working with you. I’m really excited to premiere this! I’m sure we will talk in the future.
